The twelve-tab morning, measured
We logged a week of context switches across 40 teams. The number was worse than the anecdote.

We asked forty teams to install a small extension for five working days. It counted tab switches between tools that hold the same customer, project or invoice.
The number
Median: 38 switches an hour during the first ninety minutes of the day. The worst case was a support lead at 71. Almost none of those switches produced a decision — they produced a confirmation.
